Download Epub Format â Ruthless Tycoon, Innocent Wife PDF by ✓ Helen Brooks NO CHEMISTRYMarriane s parents have both died in a car crash Her family home which has been in their family for generations is now under threat as her father had many debts In steps Rafe a millionaire businessman who claims his father was an old friend of her father But there s animosity between them as the history between their fathers was not good. Rafe is the typical cliched MB hero, rich, handsome, and his associations with women are purely physical Marianne was feisty and didn t put up with any of Rafe s crap This was okay but very formulaic, the biggest reason for my rating was I didn t feel the connection between this couple I just didn t see how they could love on another there was no spark or chemistry that came across. Ruthless Tycoon, Innocent Wife did not have an overbearing alpha hero, no rape forced seduction, no violence, no TSTL heroine, nor a huge misunderstanding. There was nothing offensive about this book at all. However, it did commit the unforgivable crime of being so boring that I could not finish it I didn t care about the characters or what happened to her house I just didn t care about this book After 51% through, I called it quits and was glad for it And I rarely DNF booksfor some masochistic reason I usually stick it out to the painful end. Not this time. 1 2 star F Ruthless Tycoon, Innocent Wife is the story of Rafe and Marianna. When Marianna loses her parents in a freak accident, she never expects to come across Rafe son of her parents childhood friend, realize he has beef with them or that he d purchase her legacy. Basically the book is a LONG saga of back and forth between the leads with nothing much happening There s a lot of no yes no situation, and I was tbh very bored. I adore HB, but this is one of my least liked books by her It follows the typical HQN formula in one of the worst ways possible. Safe with exceptions1. 5 5 I enjoyed this book Yeah, I would read it again I liked how the author wrote from both Marianne and Rafe s point of view I don t know why, but I liked it better for some reason when a story presents some point of view other than the one main character, even if it s just a snippet here or there and not in depth Sorry for the soapbox Enjoy
I d still like to know who the fuck the woman was on the phone Rating 4 stars A decent and easy read, like most Harlequin Presents. An addictive love story The hero was a patient, kind man who respected the heroine and supported her fully The heroine does a great job of resisting him despite her feelings for him In fact, they really only consummate their relationship towards the end of the book during their wedding night Zero love scenes but a sweet read, emotional and heart warming. Marianne Carr Will Do Anything To Save Her Home, And Ruthless Businessman Rafe Steed Knows It He Has A Score To Settle With The Carr Family, And After One Meeting With This Delicate Beauty He Decides He Will Have The Houseand The GirlAgainst Her Better Judgment, Marianne Is Attracted To Rafe S Powerful Sensuality But She Is Saving Herself For Her Wedding Night, And Rafe Is Definitely Not The Marrying Kind Yet What This Tycoon Wants, He Usually Gets
